My name is Meghin Moore. I'm passionate and creative; a curious adventurer who loves to explore everything the world has to offer.

I'm proud to be a Penn State graduate. I majored in broadcast journalism, and I took up a minor in English. Broadcast journalism was my first love, but while there, I fell out of love with it; finding myself more enamored with the world of web journalism. Writing has been one of my biggest passions as I've gotten older, and I love being able to have a platform to put my thoughts, be it on Twitter or in a notebook. The urge to write will always be a huge part of me, and follow me wherever I go.

Social media has been a huge part of my life for over ten years. It's one of the main ways I'm able to catch up with what's going on in the world. With that said, I still have a soft spot for non-digital platforms. There's nothing better than reading a newspaper or book, and taking in the physical experience many people miss out on. Living in a fast-paced world where everything is on-demand at your fingertips can be overwhelming. For a self-proclaimed tech addict, that's an unusual statement to make.

I’m also involved in the fight to help save local news. I’m passionate about keeping communities informed and preventing communities from becoming news deserts.

After I was laid off from The Daily Progress in 2020, I started a Patreon with expanded daily COVID-19 stats for the region, which were data I had been tweeting out since the pandemic hit Virginia in March 2020.

I was furloughed for two weeks in 2020 as well, where I started my own newsletter devoted to the state of the media, discussions on mental health, as well as one of my biggest passions: music. You can sign up and read my newsletter’s archives below.
